7 May - NSTR Preparing to Depart Naples

A tad bit cooler today but still mighty warm.  Typical day before departure.  Fuel truck, wash truck, flush tanks, disconnect hoses and stow, laundry, etc etc.  After getting fuel we did slip into Petsmart and bought a doggie hair trimmer so we can give Liberty a hair cut.  Her fur coat is not good in this heat, so we gave her a bath and a little trim today.

We got back from shopping and at the entrance to the RV park was a new looking rig checking in with Iowa - Cass County license plates.  Doreen's sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew are all from Atlantic with is the Cass County seat.

Turns out they are from Lewis IA, just south of Atlantic.  The lady here, Jolene, taught with Doreen's niece's husband Justin for quite a few years and he coached her sons in baseball.  Small world.

The campground hostess had called us a few weeks ago and forewarned us about a large motorcycle group supposedly rolling in here tonight and they might be a bit noisy.  She was prepared to give us a refund or cancel our reservations but we told her it was not problem as far as we were concerned.  It's almost 10 pm as I write this and the campground is dead quiet!

That's about it for tonight.  We had a great time here and saw military comrades and relatives we had not seen in a long time.  We really enjoyed the beaches and really everything about the area.

Short commute tomorrow.  Next report from Miami Everglades RV Park, just about 85 miles right down Rte 41.  New location and new adventures!
