Down day today. Laundry, cleaning up inside the RV. Washed the bugs off the front cap. Checked the water in both batteries. Vacuumed the compartments. Emptied the sewer tanks and flushed the black. Hoses stowed for the trip tomorrow. Cleaned and lubed the toilet bowl seal. Quick trip into town for diesel before tomorrow. A couple walks around the campground and Grassy Pond.
Last evening my daughter Michelle and her husband Keith in Oak Creek WI took delivery of a brand new Alliance (same brand as ours) Paradigm 390MP. It is a beautiful coach that is similar but larger than ours as it has a middle multipurpose room with a loft above. We are so happy for them and are looking forward to camping with them this fall. Their boys are both busy with school bowling teams.
Our youngest, Dan and his family back home in Ankeny IA have been busy with volleyball for Hailee and now baseball for Daniel and Calvin. Volleyball just ended, but baseball will continue on now throughout the summer. Luckily we have tune in with an app called "Game Changer Team Manager" and watch Daniel's game live video and audio. We will catch Calvin at bat using Facetime!
So what's up with the "NSTR"?! The military in known for it's plethora of acronyms. We have an acronym or abbreviation for everything. We used to drive Doreen nuts when Jennifer, Dan and I would all come home from drill weekend and would be sitting around the supper table talking about the weekend. We would all be spewing acronyms about this and that, and Doreen would just shake her head! NSTR - Nothing Significant To Report. And that about sums up today.
Next report from Three Flags RV Resort near The Villages FL where our high school buddy Bill Allen and his wife Jan live. Looking forward to seeing them again. If you were at my military retirement you may have met Bill.
