6 Aug - NSTR Last Day at this KOA and Quick Trip back to Mount Pleasant

Last day at the Madison / Pittsburgh SE KOA campground.  Doreen did the laundry and I focused on my normal routines of flushing the tanks, stowing hoses, etc.

Liberty "on point" waiting for Doreen to get back from the laundry.

This water hauler made several trips to and from the campground this morning.  Apparently someone was using a lot of water flushing their tank!  😄

I got back up on the roof of the coach and replaced the missing cowl screw in the rear air conditioner.  Other than that we made a few phone calls, did some paperwork and basically got ready to move west from here to Buckeye Lake / Columbus East KOA  near Columbus Ohio.  We have a couple great friends there:

Ernie and Rhonda Reid live in Granville OH which is just north of our campground.  I served in the Air Force with Ernie in northern Maine in the 1974-1977 timeframe.  We have stayed in contact ever since.  We plan to see them, have a few laughs for sure and also attend a Columbus Clippers baseball game.

Ernie and I just a few moons ago.

Chris and Monique Muncy live in Westerville OH which is just north of Columbus.  Chris and I served together in the Air National Guard together.  Chris was the Command Chief of the entire Air National Guard while I served as Command Chief in Iowa.  Prior to our Command Chief days we both served in communications.

The Muncy's at Camp Dodge in 2019

While we were still here I did some more research on the Internet about Iron City beer and made another phone call in Mount Pleasant.  BINGO!  So one more trip into town to get some Iron City and then we fueled up the truck in preparation for our departure.

That's about it for today and for Pennsylvania.  We've had a nice relaxing time here but we are ready to press on westward.

Next report, Buckeye Lake OH!
