Last day at Buckeye Lake/Columbus East KOA. This has been a nice park and we've had a great time here with our Air Force buddy Ernie Reid and his family, but time has come to move onward.
Today we cleaned, got caught up on computer work, dumped tanks, flushed tanks, stowed hoses, fueled the truck and everything else we do the day before we leave. All went well.
Looking back over our trip, since we departed Ankeny on 1 April I think we've done pretty good as far as the planning portion. Most of our stops have been timed about right, about the right number of days based on what there was to see there, who there was to see there, how much vicinity travel there was, etc.
But I missed the proverbial boat here!! We leave tomorrow which is Thursday. We should have stayed through the weekend! Friday-Sunday is the MOPAR Nationals not far from here!! I have been a MOPAR fan ever since dirt was discovered. I would really have enjoyed being here and attending that, but it is what it is. The first few MOPAR's started to roll in to the campground this afternoon. First a Super Bee rolled in next to us, then a Dart Swinger and a few more. The guy camping next to us with the Super Bee said the entire campground will be packed full of MOPAR's and the streets here will be lined with them. The main event will be held in Hebron, just north of here.
From their web site:

Oh well, good excuse to come back here in a future year!
We also missed the Muncy's, Chris and Monique. They have been out of town and just returned this afternoon. We were busy trying to get packed up and ready to move and they were tired from their travels so we agreed to get together "next time".
So good time in Columbus area. Next report from Camp Atterbury near Edinburgh IN.
