Today (Thursday) at 0901 hrs we pulled chocks at Grand Haven MI and drove 136 miles north to Traverse City MI and Holiday Park Campground, arriving right at noon. We were greeted by Kelley Cerny who we had met at the Alliance Rally in Elkhart IN a few days prior. Kelley and her husband Steve live and work here at Holiday Park. 
This is an interesting campground in that many of RV sites are "owned" by seasonal campers. There is a large area, the area we are in, that are what I would call "transient". The campground is spacious so you are not real close to your neighbor and it is well-maintained. There is a lake and an isthmus surrounded by water where more seasonal campers live. It is really nice. They have a beach area for swimming and boat rental available to campers.

So we got checked in and set-up in our site quickly. Soon we were greeted by Kelley's husband Steve who we also met at the Rally last week. Kelley and Steve also own an Alliance fifth wheel as do their friends Bob and Cheryl Ortwein. Our friends we met at last year's rally, Bob and Jill Junco, also have an Alliance and are camping here also, so we kind of have a mini rally going on here!
Kelley and Steve graciously invited the Alliance owners over for dinner tonight. Steve prepared some delicious smoked and we had all kinds of sides to go with it. Photo credits Steve Cerny
After dinner we enjoyed a beautiful evening around the camp fire. The temperature is lower here as is the humidity. So nice!
That's a wrap for our travel day. Lighthouses is the name of the game for this stop. We will visit several tomorrow (Friday).
